Cookie choices

Last updated: 29 September 2026. This notice covers The World Cup Of website.

Essential storage

The wco_voter cookie is a random identifier used to prevent repeated voting from the same browser. It lasts up to one year and is set only when you vote. Clearing it can remove that browser-level protection. The hosting platform uses its own session cookies to protect administrator access.

Your analytics preference is stored on your device as wco_consent. It remains until you change it or clear browser storage. It does not contain your name or email.

Optional analytics

Analytics events are sent to the WCO database only if you select Allow analytics. Essential only leaves them off. You can change this through Cookie settings in the footer.

External media

We use click-to-load YouTube players on the youtube-nocookie.com domain. Clicking Play connects you to YouTube, which may process data and use storage under its own terms. Audio playback contacts the podcast hosting service. Links to Patreon, Spotify and other platforms follow their own policies.
